Steps to Improve Your Quran Recitation

1. Master Arabic Letters

Start by understanding and correctly pronouncing all Arabic letters. For example, the letter ت must be pronounced as " ت ," not "ط ".

2. Learn Active Letters

Some letters change their pronunciation when marked with Harakat. For instance:

  • مِ is pronounced "Mi," not just "Meem."

  • نَ is pronounced "Na," not just "Noon."

3. Combine Active and Silent Letters

Silent letters in the Quran combine with active ones. For example, the silent Laam in "Al" is pronounced with the next letter as one sound.

4. Stretching (Madd) Rules

Some letters require elongation (Madd). For example

  • ها becomes "Haa."

  • لا becomes "Laa."

5. Understand Tanween

Tanween adds a special sound to letters, such as:

  • رٌ is read as "Run."

  • مً is read as "Man."

The Importance of Proper Preparation

Proper lesson preparation ensures that students learn efficiently and understand faster. As a teacher, planning your lessons allows you to present concepts clearly and help students build a solid foundation. With the right preparation, students can achieve better results in less time.
